The quality grading of fox skins consist of several factors, such as density of underwool and guard hair, guard hair length, silkiness and resilience.
|

Quality
SAGA skins are graded into two primary categories: SAGA Royal and SAGA Superior (= SAGA/SAGA I) During this stringent grading process, skins of lower quality (low grades) are eliminated.
Guard Hair
For all SAGA qualities, several factors are taken into consideration in the quality grading: e.g. length of guard hair, density and silkiness.
Underwool
For all SAGA qualities, underwool is also important; density and resilience are key factors.
