Good competition over minks continued at the Saga Furs auction

Saga Furs auction offered today, on Sunday 11 March, over a million Saga Mink skins. On sale were Brown Female and Silverblue Minks and a small quantity of Sapphire Minks.

The auction room was busy with good competition especially over the Brown Female Minks that were over 90% sold. China was the most dominant market with support from the international fashion industry. The quantity of 600,000 skins reached a firm price level compared to the most recent European level.

The 400,000 Silverblue Minks were 90% sold, and the most active buying was to China with strong support from the international fashion industry and Korea. The price levels were slightly easier with a certain section meeting a resistance from the market.

The buying for Sapphire Minks was selective with 60% sold. The biggest selling was to Korea, with support from the European fashion industry and China.

The White Female Mink Top Lot was purchased by Kevin Wan for China Zhejiang Elegant Prosper Group Co. Ltd. The Saga Lumi Brown Velvet Female Mink Top Lot was purchased Woodan Fur in Korea.

The auction continues tomorrow with the sale of Palomino, Mahogany and Black minks. The auction ends on Tuesday 13 March 2018.
