Alena Akhmadullina is the leading Russian haute couture fashion designer, who has worked with Saga Furs for about 15 years now. She has visited Saga Design Centre three times and the first time was when she was still studying. This week she presented her Fall-Winter 2019/20 collection in Moscow during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia to a full house of stylish guest.

The new collection interprets the old Russian fairy tale “The Cat and the Fox”. The Cat and the Fox became key heroes of the collection, appearing in the form of prints and decorative elements. For example, on the back of one of the fur coats there was an image of a cat made using inlay technique.

The entire collection is designed in retro style with a predominance of silhouettes of the 50s and 60s. The color palette of the collection is dominated by retro shades: caramel brown, dark cherry, muted khaki and blue, beige, pastel pink and lime. Collection includes many natural materials, such as silk, cotton, denim, leather, mink and fox fur.

The collection included huge amount of beautiful fur garments made of Saga Furs’ certified fox and mink furs. Majority of fur styles presented on the catwalk were inspired by the Saga technique samples which Alena Akhmadullina saw during Moscow Fur Vision last September and later during Premiere Vision in Paris.

After selection of technique samples Saga Furs also helped Akhmadullina to find the right manufacturer and the right dressing company who were able to achieve the exact results Akhmadullina was looking for.
