Aurora seminar showcases Finnish fur heritage in Seoul

In May, Saga Furs hosted the ‘Aurora in Seoul’ customer seminar in South Korea, welcoming a wide range of participants including designers, manufacturers, retailers, promotion companies, design schools and dyeing specialists. The event offered attendees an up-close look at a curated selection of fur samples from Saga Furs.

At the heart of the event was the ‘Aurora’ concept – inspired by the natural beauty of Finland and the legacy of Finnish fox. The name Aurora resonated strongly with participants, who felt it perfectly captured the essence of Finnish heritage. The response to the concept was positive, generating creative engagement and lively discussion.

Saga Furs presented a variety of innovative techniques, demonstrating how fox fur can be beautifully combined with different textiles and adapted into a wide range of fashion items from headband accessories to fox-trimmed shoes. These examples highlighted the adaptability of fox fur in both modern and multifunctional design contexts.

The wide range of styles and samples revitalised the perspective how fox fur can be creatively reimagined in today’s evolving fashion scene.

– We are delighted to present the legacy of Finnish fox through the Aurora theme to our valued Korean customers, who play a vital role in our industry. We truly hope the Aurora samples spark fresh inspiration for their upcoming collections. Ongoing dialogue with our buyers is essential and Saga Furs has always been proud to lead the way in fostering these connections, says Samantha Vesala, Business Director, Marketing and Business Relations.

Saga Furs looks forward to seeing the Aurora project spark continued innovation and creativity across the South Korean fur industry.
