Good competition for female mink with all markets active

The auction continued today with a collection of almost 600.000 Black, Mahogany and Brown females. Black was 100% sold under strong competition with good price premiums for the best qualities. Buying was well spread between China, Russia, Italy and Korea.

Brown classic females were 100% sold under very strong competition at firm to slightly increasing prices compared with recent European levels. Brown velvet females were over 80% sold and Mahogany females 95% sold at slightly easier prices.

China was the dominant market for Brown and Mahogany females, with strong support from Korea and Italy. The top lot of Brown Velvet females was bought by Dick Morsink, CBM Furs, for Rien Leeijen, Lion Mink, for a special charity project.

The American Legend auction will start tomorrow. The Saga Furs auction will continue on Thursday morning with the selling of a wide selection of Pearl and Palomino females and various cross minks.
