Saga Furs June 2025 auction, reports and stock exchange releases

Insider information: The Saga Furs’ auction brokerage sales is EUR

Saga Furs’ June auction concluded today, 12 June, with a total of 320 buyers in attendance. Majority of purchases was made for the Chinese market. Purchases were also made to South Korea, Türkiye, Greece, and the European fashion industry. The value of the auction brokerage sales is EUR 127 Million (5/2024: EUR 128 million).

Of the 3.9 million mink pelts offered, 92% were sold, while 39% of the 200,000 fox pelts found buyers. Strong demand for mink pelts continued, and despite the recent weakening of the Chinese yuan, price levels remained stable compared to the March auction. Prices for fox pelts, however, remained low and unprofitable for producers.

“Following the successful mink auction, the sale of fox pelts was weaker. The company will continue its efforts to improve demand for fox pelts in China and other key markets. We are developing and showcasing new and innovative ways to use fox fur to fashion and textile companies,” says Markus Gotthardt, CEO of Saga Furs.

Day 7 report / Thursday, 12 June

The fox auction concluded today with the offering of 150,000 Blue fox, 24,000 Blue Frost and 25,000 Silver fox pelts.

  • The Blue fox collection was 25% sold at slightly easier prices.

Türkiye was the dominating market with good support from China, South Korea and the European fashion industry.

The Blue fox Top Lot was purchased by Chinese Brand Melinda Li.

Day 6 report / Wednesday, 11 June

The Mink auction concluded today with the offering of 576,000 White mink pelts as well as 92,000 Black Cross, and 138,000 Silver Cross mink pelts.

  • The White Classic male collection was 85% sold at easier prices.
  • The White Velvet male collection was 100% sold at easier prices.
  • The White female collection was 100% sold at slightly easier prices.
  • The Black Cross male collection was 100% sold at increasing prices.
  • The Black Cross female collection was 100% sold at slightly easier prices.
  • The Silver Cross collection was 100% sold at firm to slightly easier prices.

The auction concludes tomorrow. On the final day, Blue, Blue Frost and Silver foxes will be on offer.

Insider information: 3,6 million mink pelts sold at Saga Furs’ mink auction

The sale of mink pelts at Saga Furs’ auction, which began on 6 June, concluded today, 11 June. The mink auction attracted 320 buyers from all major markets.

“Strong demand for mink pelts continued. Of the 3.9 million pelts offered, 92% were sold. The recent weakening of the Chinese yuan was reflected in the price levels, which nevertheless remained stable compared to the March auction,” says Markus Gotthardt, CEO of Saga Furs.

Majority of purchases was made for the Chinese market. Purchases were also made to South Korea, Türkiye, Greece, and the European fashion industry.

The auction will continue tomorrow, 12 June, with the sale of fox skins. Upon its conclusion, the company will publish a stock exchange release covering the entire auction.

Day 5 report / Tuesday, 10 June

Today’s offering consisted of 680,000 Silverblue mink pelts.

Today’s offering consisted of 495,000 Brown female and 139,000 Mahogany female as well as 257,000 Royal Black and Black male and female mink pelts.

  • The group collection, consisting of Royal Black and Black, was 75% sold at firm to slightly easier prices.

The Saga Furs’ June auction started today. During the 7-day auction, Saga Furs will offer 3.9 million mink pelts and 200,000 fox pelts to more than 300 buyers representing all the main markets.

Today’s offering consisted of 500,000 Brown male and 110,000 Mahogany male mink pelts.
