Saga Furs Oyj Makes a Statement at the 6th China International Import Expo

Saga Furs Oyj proudly showcased its commitment to sustainable fur at the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai in the beginning of November under the theme “New Era, Shared Future.” The event, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, drew attention to global collaboration and progress.

In the Country Exhibition hall, Saga Furs Oyj stood tall among esteemed Finnish companies. On November 7th, at the Finnish Pavilion, Ms. Sari Essayah, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland, warmly welcomed Mr. Markus Gotthardt, CEO of Saga Furs, and Ms. Samantha Vesala, Business Director of Marketing and Business Relations. The engaging conversation revolved around the company’s mission and accomplishments.

Saga Furs Oyj, a global advocate for responsibly produced fur, actively participated in the Expo, aiming to spotlight the quality and sustainability of natural furs. The company’s presence attracted significant interest from visitors, particularly the younger demographic expressing enthusiasm for fur accessories. Many guests expressed a keen desire to purchase Saga Furs’ fur products, signaling a positive trend towards natural fur appreciation.

Insights from the 6th CIIE and the Finnish Pavilion

The 6th CIIE witnessed the participation of guests from 154 countries, regions, and international organizations, featuring over 3,400 exhibitors and drawing 410,000 professional registered visitors. Notably, more than 100 executives from the global headquarters of the world’s top 500 companies and industry leaders attended the Expo, underlining its global significance.

The Finland Pavilion, housed in Hall 5.2 of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), was organized by Business Finland and welcomed 17 Finnish companies. The Pavilion, designed with Finnish-style furniture and a sauna-themed meeting room, epitomized the authentic Nordic ambiance – truly a “Home of Happiness.”
