Saga Furs took part in the second international fashion forum organized in St. Petersburg, Russia

Many important Russian and international fashion experts took part in Fashion Forum in St. Petersburg, to discuss hot fashion industry topics but also to take part in practical masterclass workshops. Saga Furs became one of the most important partners of the Fashion Forum.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the St.Petersburg city organized the second international fashion forum last week during 4-5 October 2018. Many important Russian and international fashion experts, among them Alena Akhmadullina and Viktor Evtukhov (Deputy minister of Commerce and Trade of Russian Federation) took part in Fashion Forum. Other participants represented buyers, high level fashion designers, fashion retail management, producers, potential investors as well as prestigious fashion design schools.

 

 

Saga Furs became one of the most important partners with their impressive stand, masterclass workshops for designers, new technique samples and presenting capsule collections of two young fashion design students from Russia.

Partnering with designers, students and universities has been part of Saga Furs way of working since 1970’s. For the past 10 years Saga Furs has cooperated with two leading fashion design schools also in Russia: Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design and Omsk Fashion Design School.

 

 

 

Every year students get a chance to learn more about endless possibilities of fur as a material for a fashion designer. After a competition organized among students by Saga Furs, one winner from each school get a change to visit Saga Design Centre in Copenhagen. During one week in DC they learn best practices from the Saga furriers and design their own capsule collections, which were this time presented in Fashion forum. This time the two young designers were Viktoria Vejgant (Omsk) and Evgenia Nikulina (St. Petersburg).
